2019 Hep B United Summit
On July 23-25, 2019, Hep B United held its 7th Annual Summit and Advocacy Day in Washington, DC. The summit is the largest convening of hepatitis B community leaders from around the country with over 100 partners representing patient advocates, local and state health agencies, national organizations, community-based hepatitis B coalitions, and federal agencies. The theme of the 2019 Summit was Eliminating Hepatitis B: Local Change, Global Impact. Meeting sessions focused on improving access to hepatitis B treatment, combating hepatitis B-related stigma and discrimination, innovative hepatitis B testing and patient navigation strategies, and #justB Storytelling Campaign. During the Hep B United Advocacy Day, partners met with nearly 60 Congressional representatives to discuss increasing federal resources to address and eliminate hepatitis B.
